up all night till the morning come, daylight come an me wan' go home
actually, more like me wan' go straight to bed. i'm tired already, but it's totally necessary to stay up until at least 3:00 so that i'm tired enough to sleep most of tomorrow in preparation for night shift. we'll see how this works. i think i'll do some accounting, finish the two stories i'm reading, and play Chicken Invaders2 for a while. we'll see how long i can keep it up, awake and lonely with just a computer for company all night. :-)
i like it that it's light now when i'm driving to and from work. for a week or so it was only light there, and now it's light almost all the way home. so i can see the sunrise and sunset. and the huge piles of snow i got stuck in in two spots on tuesday are nearly all melted and the roads are starting to look springish again. mudholes, in other words. but it smells good. like mud. mmmmmm.....
my sunday without church at work wasn't so bad. i think i'll really miss it in a few days, when it's just been so long since i've been. today it didn't feel like a long long time, so it didn't bother me much. just felt odd to be leaving early and going in the opposite direction as everyone else. but i got a lot of work done, and helped some people quite a bit, so i guess i still honoured God on His day. so i'm not sad about it.
i think this is long enough. i'm tired of typing after 12 hours straight of it. :-)

Welcome to the unsettling world of Sunday workers. Thankfully I had enough sleep on Saturday (nearly slept all day) that I stayed awake after my shift long enough to enjoy church. (plus Mr. Foucachon preached, and I don't think I could have possibly slept during his sermon. :-)) Still, some nights it certainly is difficult, and sleep is rather tempting.
