got home lateish tonight since i got to work 15 min. late this morning. the reason for that was that i was nearly late already before i went out. i was supposed to take the van in to get a 'check-up' but first i thought it was the car, which wouldn't start, then i moved all my junk to the van, which also wouldn't start, and finally i had to move it again to my own car, which, of course, started n/p. wouldn't you know. so anyway, i was a good bit late already, and then driving to work my scary 'Check Engine' light came on, so i stopped and called dad, checked the oil, which was not low, and then got to work late. so the mechanic got a surprise when he came into town to get the vehicle, since it wasn't the van, but they did an oil change and looked it over. i believe something is wrong with the back struts, although i'm not totally sure what that means or what they are. prolly the reason for all the bumping noises coming from the back wheels. i'll get dad to call the mechanic, since i really am not sure what's what. and my next oil change is due in the END OF MAY. hear that? good. *wink* cars are such a joy. hehehehehehehe. my supervisor keeps using my car as an example when we're talking about motor vehicle accidents during training. 'Semi-trailer vs. Dodge Neon. We'd better send out the fire department and rescue and 2 ambulances.' nasty of him. but i guess he has cause to make fun of it. i've had the thing for just over two weeks, and i've locked the keys out, nearly ran out of gas, gotten lost, drained my battery, and had the engine warning light go on. *giggles* there's not a whole lot else that CAN happen to the thing. :-)
