hi again
so the EMD course went well, and i'm really glad i went. driving back and forth every day wasn't bad either, and i listened to a whole series of Steven Wilkins tapes. :-) i guess i should be getting a NAEMD badge in the mail soonish. the exam wasn't really hard at all, but i guess that might be because i already knew a lot about what i was doing, in opposition to several new dispatchers that were there.
last night i went to stay with Laura instead of coming home, and she and Henry and i went with a whole bunch of other people to the Shakespeare in the Park production of Hamlet. i want to see if i'll be able to make it to the other one next week Tuesday night. i think it's Much Ado About Nothing, which is probably my favourite Shakespeare play.
the sky is really funny brownish yellow with a really big rainbow right now, because there's a thunderstorm. it makes the grass very green, and the canola fields are neon yellow.
we had a ginormous thunderstorm in Drayton Valley at lunchtime on Monday. withine 5 minutes, one lane of the street and all the intersections where several inches deep in water and it was more like swimming than driving. i got out of the car in the grocery store parking lot and promptly got soaked in the 3 inches of water filling it. it was really weird. we were all wet when we came back to the fire hall for the afternoon session of the course. and then when i went home the road was almost totally dry again. weird town.
anyway, i'm going to head off again so i can hull some strawberries for mum. they're all busy getting ready to go on holidays for a couple of days. i'm going to be home alone, but i'm working 5 nights anyhow, so all i do then is sleep, eat, and work. i wish for holidays though. i'll have to see what i can do. later then, i guess.

Lucky. :-) Wish I'd been there for the storm - it sounded fun. Glad you did well on the EMD course. Better employment options, perhaps? :-)
